ORA (Orée) — rim, border, coast, bank, shore, passage, threshold, limit.
To cross borders, to exceed a threshold, to walk on the edge, to push the limits. ORA (Orée) is the passage of different spheres, membranes, doors. It is the passage of time, from the extremely slow to the extremely fast. The contrast of darkness with blaring light. Saga, path, navigation, crossing of darkness, of shadow, of forest, of hell… darkness as overlay of an infinite number of images.
For this new piece I start with three main themes that I would like to interact and overlap : dream, combat and machine, with the idea of a continuity between the psychic, the organic and the material : the image, the body and the matter.
From a principle of simultaneity and overlap of different layers of time, images and states of body and mind, I would like to explore the way the body relates to its environment ; how it becomes frontier of or passage between interior and exterior, concrete and abstract, activity and passivity, matter and thought.
